Teddy the Law Dog

My name is Teddy of the Tundra, Esq., but, you can just call me Teddy, T-Meister, or Handsome.  I am a pure bred Siberian Husky; born on December 20th, 2007.  I have 3 brothers and 4 sisters—Eysak, Asher, Nika, Pykah, J.C., Stella, and Diego.  My siblings live in various parts of the U.S., however, you can see them all at PhiChas Siberian Huskies.

In January, 2008, I was fortunate to be selected to join the law firm of Barre M. Sakol, P.C.  I arrived in Boulder on February 10th and started work the very next day.  Since joining the firm, I’ve met many wonderful clients, and I’ve been working hard to learn the ins and outs of being a law dog.  Let me tell you….it’s tough work! I have to endure rigorous training to learn how to be responsive to important legal commands, such as “sit”, “off”, “down”, “stay”, and “come”.   Other responsibilities include greeting clients and letting them pet me.  My starting compensation package includes 2 cookies per day and 1 rawhide bone per week.  After 6 months, I will be eligible for an increase to 3 cookies per day, 2 rawhides per week, and a new squeaky toy each week.

My goal is to fill the “shoes” of my predecessor, Theo. He had 8 years of experience in the law firm.  He specialized in cases dealing with dog bites and dogs running at large.  Needless to say, he was allowed free range of the office.  At this point in my career, I am still confined to Barre’s office until I get better at greeting clients without jumping on them.  Sometimes, I just can’t help myself.  I get so excited when meeting new clients that I want to greet them “puppy-style”.

When you come to the office for a meeting with Barre, be sure to look me up.  I love meeting new people – they always give me lots of attention.  Plus, I often get a bonus cookie out of the deal!
