Barre Sakol has been a trial lawyer for over 30 years. While he has handled other types of cases in the past, his present practice emphasizes all types of criminal cases ranging from DUIs to misdemeanors to felonies. He also handles all types of family law cases, including but not limited to: paternity cases, custody cases, child support cases, removal cases (permanently removing minor children from the State), dissolution of marriages (divorces), and marital agreements (prenuptial agreements).
While many attorneys specialize in a single field of the law, Barre believes that the interrelationship between criminal and family law necessitates proficiency with both areas. His knowledge of criminal law has resulted in the successful defense of numerous contempt citations in family law cases. Likewise, his knowledge of family law has been of substantial assistance in many criminal cases, including but not limited to domestic violence charges.
Barre's diversity allows his clients to avoid the additional cost and duplication of efforts asociated with having to deal with more than one attorney for related matters.
